In this installment, we’re spotlighting, Galina Nicorici, who was instrumental in developing the Data Quality Score – a key component of Cority’sPredictive Analytics solution – that helps EHSQ teams ensure their data is complete and accurate.

Name: Galina Nicorici

Biography: 

Galina was born in Tula, Russia and came to Canada in 2013 where she joined Cority as a Software Developer.

Galina holds a BS in Applied Mathematics from Bucharest University, a MS in Computer Science from Moldova State University, and a PhD in Probabilities and Statistics from Bucharest University. 

Q: What do you love most about your job at Cority?

The people and the flexibility of the product we are building. 


Q: What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work hours?

Reading and hanging out with friends. 


Q: What is the last book you’ve read?

Stamped Happiness by Igor Pol. 

Q: If you could switch roles with someone in the company for a day, who would you switch with and why?

A Product Manager. I think it’s really challenging to translate clients’ needs into the design of original functionality. 

Q: What are your biggest pet peeves?

People who forget their promises. 

Q: What is one achievement or experience at Cority that you’re most proud of?

By being a part of our new Analytics team, I fulfilled my dream of combining my two passions: Programming and Statistics. 

Q: If you were given $40,000 to start your own business, what kind of business would you start?

A fun programming school for small children. 


Q: Tell us something that not many people know about you: 

I went to art school.
